The team at Commonwealth Energy is three for three in my household. In 2004 they replaced all on my 1940's windows with new double pane gas filled and didn't even leave dust behind. Steve was very honest and helped guide us to the level of window we wanted and steered us away from levels that would never return the cost in energy savings. When we wanted to have some trim and dormers sided we didn't even get other estimates since we were still happy with our windows. Steve stopped and left a set of his color fans and books with no hurry to make a choice and return. While here he got the bar code off of a couple of windows that had clouded and ordered new ones at no expense to me. We had color paint samples made at the hardware and took a few days to decide. The team started ahead of schedule and when my wife wanted something different done to the dormers, they came on a Sunday and didn't hesitate to remove the area and do it again. While here they swapped the replacement windows too. Lastly and later we decided on some new exterior doors and again the fellas showed up quicker than we had anticipated and replaced those. A stellar job from all. I wish I had more for them that needed doing.

We cannot thank you enough for our beautiful replacement windows and shutters. From start to finish your company was professional in every way. The owner, Steve Smith came out to measure and he was a delight to work with. The installers were extremely efficient and took great care in doing a very professional job. Not only are the windows beautiful, but the energy efficiency cannot be beat. We felt a difference immediately - and our Dominion Power bill confirmed it! Thank you again, we would highly recommend your company.
Dear Mr. Beach, Commonwealth Energy Systems, LLC was the only window company that agreed to do my Brandermill 1980's windows. I called several of your competitors and they informed me they would not do 7/8th steel windows. I became quite weary of ever finding anyone who would. Mr. Steven Smith came out and measured, said they were difficult for the average window company to fit, but he would look into it for me. Then you came over with a bid price (Extremely reasonable) and four weeks later we had beautiful new windows! The installers were polite, clean, organized, and quick. I was very impressed. The windows lift easily, and the rooms retain their temperatures well. Best yet, they look great! This summer we completely remodeled the house. The roofer took an extra week, the painter took an extra four weeks, and the windows were right on time. I am forever grateful for your company.
I just want to say THANKS for a fantastic job on my house. CES actually exceeded my expectations, which is not an easy thing to do. This was truly a complete house make-over. Green's FAXThe siding, windows, doors, and railings all look absolutely great. I love the silver (actually light gray) siding with white trim. The most impressive feature is how you totally improved the view out the back of my house by replacing all those 6' x 8' casement windows with a single piece of glass. I have not been on the water yet, but my neighbor told me how great the house looks from her boat. Hats off to the crew!!! Reese, Patrick, John, Hunter, and the others were very professional and accommodating. They did an outstanding job. I can't say enough about how please I am. No more rotten wood and no more painting - how great is that!!! Thanks again.
Now in the depths of record cold temperatures, I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how very pleased I am with my replacement windows. After having lived in my home for over 20 years, I am having my first winter of not having to roll up old towels along the base of my picture window in order to block drafts and collect condensation. I never expected to actually ENJOY windows but I do enjoy these. After having procrastinated for years about having the job done, I am SO glad I went ahead and finally did it back in November. They're wonderful.
Guy, Clyde and I would like to let you know how we've enjoyed our services dealing with Commonwealth Energy Systems. The replacement windows and installations thereof have both been of top quality workmanship! We are looking forward to our next delivery and installation and hope to finally get all windows replaced in our home by early 2009. Guy, I apologize for the tardiness of this testimonial but the sentiment is as genuine as the day the work was completed. My husband and I own a stone house circa 1930's with two additions in the 1950's. It was clear we needed to replace the windows in our family room two years ago and two sliding doors this past spring. Commonwealth Energy Systems provided the perfect solution to our needs and everyone from the Guy the salesman to Pat the installer were so very accommodating and professional. The CRANEBOARD Solid Core Siding has made a noticeable difference in the comfort level of our home and we have seen significant savings in our energy costs.
